Dear friends of Mongolia,

I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the Embassy of Mongolia in the Kingdom of Sweden.
Sweden was the one of the first Western developed countries to establish diplomatic relations with Mongolia, giving a significant boost to Mongolia’s international  standing in 1960’s. Today, Mon

golia and Sweden share common values of democracy, human rights and free market economy and have, though geographically far apart, a number of common features, including rich history, cold climate and unique wild life and nature. We in the Embassy believe that these commonalities strenghen the interest and willingness of the two countries to expand bilateral relations and cooperation.

This Embassy of Mongolia opened here in Stockholm in the 45th Anniversary year of the establishment of diplomatic relations is to serve the promotion of bilateral ties between our two countries as well as the promotion of Mongolia in Scandinavian countries. This website shall try to provide information on Mongolia and her foreign policy. It also contains information on consular and visa services available both to Mongolians and foreigners. From January 1, 2010, the Embassy will start granting visas issued so far by the Honorary Consul of Mongolia in Goteburg, to Swedish and other foreign citizens. I invite you to turn to our newly established Embassy to receive visa and consular services. I hope, you would be able to find information and services that you are looking for.
